The Tronsmart Orion R28 uses the new RK3288 CPU/SOC. The RK3288 is a huge upgrade over the popular RK3188. After spending a solid week and a half with the Orion R28 here is my list of pros and cons.
Stable only one auto reboot in a week and a half of testing.
4K and H.265 play in MX player
Solid HDMI signal. Some older rockchip 3188 derives had a signal so weak sometimes it would cut out during HDMI capture.
16 GB built in Flash
Good automatic screen resolution detection
USB game controller worked great. I didn't even need to configure it for most games. Still some touch screen games did not support a comptroller at all.
Smooth frame rate game play.
Worlds better thank 3188
Included remote is not very good.
No mouse scroll to zoom in Google maps, earth, Zillow, ect
Only 2GB app partition.
Screen mirroring works but its gets green artifacts all over the screen. I can't see the screen w my LG G3
I couldn't get my Bluetooth G910 controller to connect
Blue tooth speaker cased slight lag in XBMC
4K playback in XBMC not usable
Camera apps doesn't work on my Logitech C525. It did work with my LG webcam though.
Only takes micro SD cards up to 32 GB
Warm during gaming or heavy use.
Uses 3 to 12 watts mostly operates around 4 to 6 watts
Netflix still not 1080p its probably at 480 and sometimes 720
Pros & Cons
Excellent remote control!
Fast and snappy media player Installs apps quickly.
Antutu score over 30,000!
Good SSD/Flash memory performance
Great video playback performance.
Remote works on other players
Power on/off with remote (a lot of android media players can't do this)
Miracast works well
Zero watts standby power.
Over all very functional media player and mini PC
Needs a audio device manager. When a webcam is hooked up you can't use remote microphone.
Needs an option to time out to go into sleep mode not just screen saver
Wish the background on the default launcher could be changed.
When the system is in 4K output mode XBMC plays your video in a small window.
Pros and Cons:
Best miracast I've used so far.
Over 340 Android apps now support Chromecast
Apple IOS support
Very fast and stable on big name apps like YouTube and Netflix, Hulu, and Plex
Easy setup (but be sure to reboot it after firmware update)
Miracast uses more battery on phone so you may want to plug it in.
Video in miracast is slightly choppy but that is why apps connect to Chromecast..
Gets warm but I've never had it lock up yet
No support in Chromecast app to reboot device but Cast Store does give you option to reboot.
You need to be running android 4.4.1 to mirror cast. Here are the phones that are supported right now.

Good news X8 owners. Minix has Released their 005 beta firmware which enables deep sleep mode which only uses 0.25 Watts. Now you can put youe X8/X8-H into deep sleep with the remote. Get the beta firmware here http://bitly.com/1jeQVAe
The Minix X8-H is a great player. I'll list the
Pros and Cons:
Excellent smooth video playback
Stable, almost no lockups
Audio buggs. When changing tracks I hear some feedback. This may be fixed with the new beta firmware update.
More to come soon.
Here you can see that the X7 came in first and the X7 mini with external antenna came in second.
Pros and Cons:
The Tronsmart Vega S89 Elite is an awesome Android media player. In fact its probably got the best media playback out of any player I've tested. The difference between the S89 and S89 Elite is the S89 has 16GB Flash the Elite has 8GB and the S89 has 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz WiFi and the elite has just 2.4GHz. Here's a list of some of the coolest surprise features of the Vega.
Pros and cons
As a media player the Vega the best AMP I've used so far.
Included remote is good if you just want to play media
The power button on the remote puts the Vega into sleep mode. That works great.
1080P smooth fast video playback
4K (UHD) video playback
4K (UHD)TV output
Stable firmware, no reboots
Physical power button
I just found the option to turn on the status bar. That adds more points.
Sleep mode works great with the remote but no software power off option. To turn off you must hold the power button for 10 seconds. That just shuts off the power with no shut down
No DTS or Dolby digital hardware support. XBMC can play some video though so maybe it uses software decoding.
My device the Ethernet port was not working. This is probably an isolated incident. If not it should be fixed in with a software update.
Can't change wallpaper on stock launcher.
Still some text in the settings is in Chinese that I can't change
